This Privacy Policy explains how Questions Bot ("we", "us", or "our") handles information collected through our Discord bot ("the Bot"). By using the Bot, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

When you interact with the Bot, we may collect the following data:

• Discord user IDs - to identify users and associate records
• Discord server (guild) IDs - to scope data to the correct server
• Discord channel IDs - to enable channel-specific features
• Usernames and display names - as provided by the Discord API at the time of interaction
• Role information - role names and IDs relevant to bot commands
• Command usage data - records of commands executed for statistics and logging purposes
• Message content - only when directly submitted to the Bot as part of a command; we do not monitor general channel messages

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected data solely to:

• Provide and operate Bot features (role management, statistics, scheduling)
• Generate server-level usage statistics and leaderboards
• Debug issues and improve Bot reliability
• Maintain logs required for auditing and moderation purposes

We do not sell, trade, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Data Retention

Data is retained for as long as the Bot is active in your server. When the Bot is removed from a server, server-specific data may be deleted upon request. User-level data (such as IDs and statistics) may be retained in anonymised or aggregated form for analytical purposes.

5. Data Security

We take reasonable technical measures to protect stored data. However, no system is completely secure. We are not responsible for unauthorised access resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

6. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us through the methods listed below. We will respond to reasonable requests within 30 days.

7. Third-Party Services

The Bot operates via the Discord platform, which has its own Privacy Policy. We may also use Google Sheets for data logging in certain features; please review Google's Privacy Policy if applicable.

8. Children's Privacy

The Bot is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from users under 13. If you believe a child has submitted data, please contact us for removal.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Bot after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
